| NOTES | Cup interior tondo composition: Two nude male figures seated on a couch. The one on the right plays double flutes. He has distinctive features: a receding hairline, sideburns, and a small mustache and goatee. The one on the left is younger: his beard is just coming in. He is leaning over on the couch (kline). A flute case hangs on the wall and boots are placed under the couch. Inscribed: "Epidromos is handsome" (EPIDROMOS KALOS). The exterior is not decorated. |
